Day One Dev

Terms of Service

Last updated October 30, 2026

By using Day One Dev ("the Service"), you agree to these terms.

1. The Service

Day One Dev is a directory of software products. A listing is built from information published on the product's own website, such as its name, description, pricing, free plan, trial and whether it is open source. Some of this is read automatically and may be incomplete, wrong or out of date. Check the product's own site before you rely on it. Listed products are not affiliated with Day One Dev unless a page says so.

2. Accounts

You can sign in with Google or GitHub. You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter a binding contract. You are responsible for activity under your account.

3. Submitting a listing

You may submit the public website of a software product, whether you made it or not. Do not submit adult content, gambling, scams, malware or anything illegal where you or we are. If you add a note as the maker, it must be true and yours to publish, and you let us show it on the Service.

We may edit, hide or remove any listing at any time.

4. If your product is listed

If you make a listed product and something on its page is wrong, or you want it removed, contact us and we will correct or remove it. Names, logos and screenshots belong to their owners and are shown only to identify the product.

5. Links and search

Links from a listing to the product's site may carry nofollow or ugc attributes. We do not promise any search ranking, traffic or number of visitors.

6. Acceptable use

Do not abuse or attempt to disrupt the Service, submit in bulk by automated means, or inflate click counts. We may suspend accounts or block submissions that do.

7. Third-party services

The Service depends on third parties, including hosting, database and sign-in providers. We are not responsible for failures, outages, data errors or losses caused by them.

8. Disclaimer

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that the information shown is complete, accurate or timely. We may modify, suspend or discontinue any part of the Service. We are not liable for delay or failure caused by events beyond our reasonable control. Decisions you make based on information shown on the Service are your own responsibility.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law: (a) we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for lost profits or loss of data; and (b) our total aggregate liability arising out of or relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim. If you have paid nothing, our total liability is zero. These limitations do not apply where they cannot be excluded by law, such as liability arising from our willful misconduct or gross negligence.

10. Indemnification

You will indemnify and hold us harmless from claims, damages and reasonable costs (including legal fees) brought by a third party arising from your breach of these terms, your misuse of the Service, or your violation of applicable law.

11. Termination

You may stop using the Service and ask us to delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access for breach of these terms. Sections that by their nature should survive termination, including disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnification and governing law, survive.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Japan. Any dispute arising from these terms or the Service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Tokyo District Court, Japan, as the court of first instance.

13. General

We may update these terms. Material changes will be announced on the site, and continued use after changes means you accept them. You may not assign these terms; we may assign them in connection with a merger, acquisition or sale of the Service. These terms are the entire agreement between you and us regarding the Service. A failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of it. If any provision is held unenforceable, the rest remain in force.
